Committed to Sustainability: Eco-Friendly Steel Roofing and Cladding

Driving A Low-Carbon Future by utilizing Eco-Friendly Steel

Global carbon dioxide emissions have risen significantly over the years, becoming a primary driver of global warming. The Roofing Store is committed to building a low-carbon future and has already transitioned to eco-friendly steel to support this mission.

At The Roofing Store, we take pride in our imported steel. We have sourced the world in search of the best product but more importantly from a mill which continues to invest in environmentally friendly equipment and focuses on reducing the emission of green house gases. The mill that we have partnered with has been constantly solving the sustainability issues through industrial development. The steel materials that we import play a very important role when it comes to reducing the green house gas emissions. All the steel materials meet the goal of creating a low carbon society. There are noteworthy improvements such as recyclable steel together with the proper efficient utilization of energy possible due to the installation of systems like:

· ESS system- controls the release of toxic gases and minimizes hazards like stranded energy.
· ECO EAF system- improves energy efficiency by utilization of waste heat during the steel making process.
· ISO 14001- reduces environmental impact of steel manufacturing, waste management and pollution.
· ISO 50001- helps tackle climate change by reducing green house gases (CO2) by monitoring emissions and energy usage as well as sourcing energy from renewable sources.

We have managed to reduce carbon emissions by as much as 70% (without purchasing carbon credits). This is a huge reduction and a great achievement which will benefit the future of the environment.

Recycling to Reduce Carbon Emissions and Energy Consumption

Recycling steel is essential for environmental sustainability. By recycling, we reduce the demand for new natural resources, which in turn lessens the need for mining and its environmental impact.

At The Roofing Store, our steel production relies on electrical manufacturing methods that use recycled steel scrap as a primary raw material. This approach not only minimizes pollutant emissions but also lowers energy consumption. Throughout every step, we consider the environmental impact, ensuring our processes are as eco-friendly as possible.

Eco-Friendly Steel Production with Eco-Arc Furnace Technology

At The Roofing Store, we use steel coils produced by one of the most environmentally friendly technologies available — Eco-Arc furnace(EAF). Unlike traditional methods, EAFs rely on electricity to melt recycled steel, significantly reducing carbon emissions. This sustainable approach allows us to produce high-quality steel while minimizing environmental impact. By choosing EAF-produced steel, we support a cleaner, more eco-conscious future.

Superior Quality for Long-Lasting

We are proactively addressing global warming by reducing emissions and meeting government restrictions — without relying on additional carbon credits. At The Roofing Store, we recognize the environment as a critical element that requires careful management at every stage of production. This approach helps us identify potential environmental risks and prepares us for effective organizational responses.

Looking ahead, we plan to continue recycling iron from decades of domestic and commercial waste using advanced technologies. By 2030, this will help us further reduce CO2 emissions by an additional 37%.

We do not just comply with international environmental laws and treaties; we aim to set a new standard in steel roofing and cladding production. Our goal is to achieve the best possible outcomes for the environment and for future generations.

Empowering Sustainable Choices with Environmental Product Declarations

We prioritize transparency and environmental responsibility. To support this commitment, we provide Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for all our products. An EPD is a detailed document that outlines the environmental impact of a product across its entire lifecycle, covering raw material extraction, manufacturing processes, transportation, and end-of-life disposal.

By offering EPDs, we empower our customers to make informed, sustainable choices. Our dedication extends beyond high-quality roofing solutions; we are committed to reducing our ecological footprint. Explore our EPDs to learn about the environmental credentials of our products, and join us in creating a more sustainable future.
