We’re focused on bringing Kiwi’s better metal roofing and cladding for their homes & businesses.

We believe that if you’re looking for roofing or cladding materials, you’ll want a choice. There is a range of options to choose from, including profiles, colors, finishes, and, of course, price. A while ago, we looked at the New Zealand market and realized there really wasn’t much in the way of choice at all, so we set out to provide it.

But there’s more to it than just more choice. We believe there are four things that define a great steel roofing company—and they define our commitment to you. 

Consistency

Regardless of the materials used when building or renovating, you want them to be consistent, to look and perform brilliantly every time. With our steel products, consistency of product quality is a given. Our roofing steel meets strict tolerance levels, providing a truer, more exact roof than NZ manufacturing facilities can deliver.

Sustainability

Global emissions of carbon dioxide have increased so much throughout the years. It is the main cause of global warming. The Roofing Store is determined to make society a low-carbon society and has already switched to the use of eco-friendly steel.

The local steel mill in New Zealand produces around 2.5 tons of carbon dioxide per tons of steel produced, almost twice the amount of what DK produces. Hence, our steel manufacturing saves 1.2 tons of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere per ton of steel produced, as compared to the carbon dioxide emissions of local New Zealand mill. This is equivalent to driving a car 5,000 km or driving from Auckland to Wellington return, four times.
